Tucker #1015 and 1028 pictures

Postby noguice » Tue Apr 04, 2006 11:34 pm

Here's my pics of Tuckers 1015 and 1028.

1028 was better presented at the museum in Tupelo, MS so I have a lot more pics of it.

1015 was wedged between a stude and a belair, and poorly lit.

sorry, it's not a stude next to 1015, not sure what that actually is, the stude was 2 cars down. Didn't pay much attention to any of the other cars.

Thanks,
I'm trying to locate a few snap shots taken around '89 or so of a Tucker I saw as a kid in Colorado. It was at the Pikes Peak Motor Show (if i remember the show's name right). I want to see if someone can I.D. it. Pretty much all I remember was that it was green.

oh, if anyone wants the full hi-res pics, let me know which ones and I'll get them to you. they blow up to about 18-20 inches wide fairly nicely. I've got one on my wall at work.

This post belongs in "The Lounge" but..

Postby Larry Clark » Thu Apr 06, 2006 9:31 pm

I am about to add a post that more appropriately belongs in "The Lounge" at our website but I have to add that I have you both beat: I have a golden retriever named Tucker that is over 13 years old and another named Alex (Tremulis) that is around four years old. My golden named TJ (for Thomas Jefferson) would be over 20 years old if still alive). My wife can hardly wait for my next name suggestion for a dog...

I named Tucker and all 3 of his siblings that stayed in the family. 2 other boys and a girl.
Toggle, Tonka and ... Girl.
But girl later had a puppy of her own. Mrs. Beatrice Cobblepotts.

I found the pics from the '89 car show in Colorado. not very good pics though.
It is a green car, but It has a green interior (seat upholstry and door panels). looked at the pitures that were available on the "see a tucker" page, and didn't see any like that, unless they had seat covers. though i did find a pic of the franklin model of 1017 and it looked like the interior was green, so it may very well be that one.

I think 1017 was bronze back in '89. Fred put it back to the original Green/Green when he restored it in 2003. So it was likely not that car you saw.

As far as pets, I wasted the name Tucker on a parrot I had when I was a kid. Nasty animal. So my two dogs are named Auburn and Duesenberg. Wife won't let me get Cord.
